Speaking to the Animals – Meet Colbalt

October 6, 2017 by Lynn Schuster 3 Comments

Cobalt is 3 years old. He lived at an animal rescue center in Vermont for 10 months until Kim and her family adopted him in February of 2016. Kim originally contacted me in October of 2016 because she wanted to find out more about Cobalt’s history. He’d get nervous when he heard loud sounds. Cobalt would hiss and his fur would stand up when Kim picked up objects he had never seen before like a baseball glove or a hair dryer.
He also pooped outside of his litter box sometimes.
During our session in 2016, We did some clearing work for Cobalt. I used Reiki to clear some trauma on a cellular level that Cobalt was holding onto from being in the animal rescue center. Mostly we shared love with him. I asked Cobalt to share a memory with us that frightened him. I visualized a cell in his body that carried the feelings of abandonment and love unreturned. I asked for White Light to come in to heal these feelings. We reframed the memories to include love and acceptance. I knew we were complete when I could see the cell completely surrounded by White Light. One cell represents all the cells in the body, so in turn, trauma was released from Cobalt’s entire body.
At the end of our session, Cobalt asked why it took Kim so long to come and get him. He said he had been waiting for her for a long time. Kim told Cobalt that she looked for him when the timing felt right to her and her family. One day she felt an urge to go to the rescue center to look for him. Kim is so happy that Cobalt is a member of her family!
A few weeks later, Kim contacted me to let me know that since our session, Cobalt is  very loving and much calmer. He is so much more relaxed. Cobalt stopped pooping every time outside the box. Kim reported that he’s inconsistent, but at least if it’s not in the box it’s on the “pet pad” next to the box. I complimented Cobalt on his progress and he told me that sometimes he doesn’t like getting his feet dirty in the litter box. He doesn’t like the smell when he’s cleaning his paws off. He’s trying hard to use the box because he knows that is what is expected of him.
In August 2017, Kim went on vacation for a week. A friend came in to pet sit Cobalt while she was gone. Upon her return from vacation, Cobalt began pooping and now peeing outside the box. She told me that she planned to go away for a long weekend again in September and wondered if I had any suggestions. Cobalt does well when she is home, but if she wants to go away for a week or a weekend….mmmm….not so much.
I suggested my 3 Ten Minute Check-in Package. Kim was on board with that so before she left for the weekend in September, I checked in with Cobalt on Friday to let him know what was happening. I told him Kim would be gone for three “sleeps” and I showed him where she was going. I showed him how he can check in to see where she is at all times. I let him know that he is not being abandoned. I showed Cobalt that Kim was celebrating with friends and that celebrating = love. I also shared Reiki with him to help release more Post Traumatic Stress that he is carrying with him regarding his past.

On Saturday, I checked in with Cobalt and “took him with me” to visit my horse Boo. When I’m with Boo, I am always in the space of love. It feels like we are in a big bubble of love. Boo and I were sharing love long distance with Cobalt from Wisconsin to Vermont.

On Sunday, I checked in with him again. I was teaching a Basic Animal Communication Class so I asked Cobalt if he’d like to sit in on the class with me. I visualized him sitting by my right foot. I reminded Cobalt that he is never alone, he can call on his Guides and Angels, Kim, me, Boo and anyone else who brings him love and peace.
Kim’s been home for a week and she thanked me for checking in with Cobalt. She says, “Cobalt did not pee or poop on the carpet, he used his box! He is very happy and grounded and has been so all week long.”

This story brought tears to my eyes. I was just talking to a naturopathic doctor in the new clinic I work with and we talked about cats. I had to tell him the story of our kitty and parrot and Lynn helping us tremendously before and during our move across the country. I am so used to knowing Lynn is there when we need her that it always surprises me when people are not familiar with this type of communication. And Lynn is truly amazing at it. Good for Cobalt. If more people knew, this world would be a better place for so many humans and animals!

I love these stories, Lynn! Please keep them coming. Would you like to do some work with me and Jim and Jovi? Jovi’s had some challenges with all the stress our family’s been under, and he’s gotten into some aggressive (fearfu) behavior, almost as if he’s seeing his primary job as being protective now instead of being friendly with people and other dogs. Thanks!

Yes! Deb, I’d love to work with you, Jim and Jovi. We definitely can talk to him about his fears and share the loving energy of Reiki. I’m sure some unexpected things will come up that can really help to heal the situation. Sending you love.
