People often ask me if I have animals, and yes, I do. My husband, Paul and I live in a small house with two cats, Hailey and Officer. I also have a horse named Boo. He does not live with us, he lives on a farm with my sister, but I will save his story for a different post.
My husband and I often refer to our cats as “his and hers”. Our female cat, Hailey spends most of her time with me, and Officer, our male cat prefers Paul’s company. This makes perfect sense since I picked out Hailey and Paul was drawn to Officer. Both cats are rescues from our local Humane Society. Of the two of them, Hailey has been living with us for a longer period of time than Officer….but that’s a different story too.

In looking for a solution, I remembered that I have an apprentice! Lily is incredibly talented and tuned-in so I asked her to talk to Officer and Hailey. As an apprentice, she is looking for more experience talking to animals, and I need someone who is not emotionally involved. Lily gains experience, wisdom, and validation and I receive the gift of someone who can get through to Officer and Hailey in a firm yet gentle fashion. It’s a win-win situation for both of us!Are you interested in knowing what your animal
